Betsy Devos’s Movements For a Better Education System

Betsy Devos who is also formally known as Elisabeth Dee Devos was born in January 8, 1958. She is an American Government official and Businesswoman. She is currently serving the government as the 11th Secretary of Education in the United States and had assumed her post in the year 2017. She was schooled in her home town which is in Holland, Michigan. She graduated from a college in Michigan and got her Bachelors of Arts degree in the year 1979 in the subject of business economics. Ever since she was in college she had great interest in politics and used to get involved in various political issues in the college campus. She belongs to one of the wealthiest families in Michigan. Betsy Devos is known to be a republican and supports various school voucher and choice programs and also shows her support for charter schools and has advocated her voice for the Detroit charter school system. She was also the National Committeewoman for the state of Michigan for five years from 1992 -1997. She has been raising her voice for the reformation of education movement or several years now.

 

 

Betsy Devos is often known to search for new and original solution to the socially occurred problems. She is also co-founder of a firm that invests in the technology and energy cleaning and manufacturing known as Windquest Group and is the chairman of the firm. She is popular amongst the public for the roles she plays in the non-profit sector of the society. She holds chairmanship of their own charitable foundation and contributes too many other such foundations worldwide.

 

 

Betsy Devos is a woman with a very positive and optimist view of mind. She has contributed years of her life to the schooling sector as the playing the part of Government in Education and as a result now there are more than 250000 students being publically funded in 17 states and the entire district of Columbia. Betsy contributed a huge involvement to these charities to pass the first charter bill for the schools of Michigan in the year 1993.
